The Requirement
Obliged by new environmental regulations, which have made the recycling of underwater oil or gas piping mandatory, our customer decided to create a machine from scratch to replace the manual recycling process used until then.

Faced with a highly challenging timeline to go from the design phase to delivery of the prototype within six months, we engaged fully in order to provide 360° support to our customer. We combined our product knowledge with our experience and design skills together with a practical need to ensure widespread availability of the componentry selected for this unprecedented piece of equipment. Close partnership with the customer gave rise to successful machine design while we managed the delivery of critical components throughout the project by rationalizing the primary sources.
We delivered the full HIC (hydraulic integrated circuit) featuring tailor-made power pack, valves, motors and pumps, as well as the mechanical power transmission including planetary gearboxes. Our in-depth product expertise and broad knowledge of their applications enabled us to target the most appropriate solutions immediately, being able to fit them into an integrated design solution. We also helped select the correct power transmission products to work optimally alongside the hydraulic system. Delivering full systems in such a short timeline was a critical challenge. Excellent organization, experience in determining the right components immediately and good working relations with third party suppliers and the customer’s team allowed us to accomplish the project successfully.
