The development of electrified vehicle technologies has rapidly become a priority in many regions of the world – including China – which is why Dana launched the Spicer® Electrified™ with TM4® e-Hub Drive at Bauma China 2018 in Shanghai this week.
The fully integrated electro-mechanical system for underground mining trucks, large wheel loaders, and reach stackers integrates proven heavy-duty Spicer axle expertise, Brevini® planetary drive designs, TM4 electric motor technology, and Dana’s advanced control knowledge into a single package that delivers efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Currently in pre-production field testing with manufacturers, the e-Hub drive is scheduled to be ready for production by the end of next year.
Dana is also exhibiting the company’s wide range of Spicer drive systems and Brevini® motion systems for global manufacturers of aerial work platforms (AWPs), including electrified vehicle designs.
To help promote Dana’s strong and growing presence in China, company executives held a media briefing for editors from more than 20 media outlets.
Also, Dana’s Aziz Aghili, executive vice president of Dana and president of Off-Highway Drive and Motion Technologies, announced a strategic supplier cooperation agreement with Lingong, a leading Chinese manufacturer of compactors, underground mining trucks, load haul dumps, and aerial work platforms.
Bauma China is the largest construction exhibition in the world this year, attracting more than 170,000 attendees as well as nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 41 countries. This year’s show concludes on Friday, November 30.
